A total of 34 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.00 GPA for Fall Term, 28 percent of the student-athlete population is on the Honor Roll, and overall the entire student-athlete population combined for a 3.20 GPA for Fall Term.

Timmy Hernandez (Phoenix, Ariz.) became the first football student-athlete since 1999 to earn Academic All-America honor, being selected to the Second Team this week.

A school record 23 football student-athletes earned Pac-12 Academic honors, which ranked third in the Pac-12 behind Stanford and Washington. By comparison four league teams had 10 or fewer selections. OSU’s honorees include Timmy Hernandez (Phoenix, Ariz.), Michael Alfieri (Portland), B.J. Baylor (Wharton, Texas), Conor Blount (Waukesha, Wisc.), Andre Bodden (Carson, Calif.), Blake Brandel(Milwaukie, Ore.), Jordan Choukair (Poway, Calif.), Isaiah Dunn (Antioch, Calif.),Keegan Firth (Corvallis), Champ Flemings (Pasadena, Calif.), Isaiah Hodgins(Oakley, Calif.), Sumner Houston (Dublin, Calif.), Andrzej Hughes-Murray (Federal Way, Wash.), Drew Kell (Hilo, Hawai’i), Connor Kelsey, (Carpinteria, Calif.), Luke Leonnig (Eagle, Idaho), Jeffrey Manning Jr., (Los Angeles), Trent Moore (Chandler, Ariz.), Mason Moran (Gilbert, Ariz.), Artavis Pierce (Lake Alfred, Fla.), Daniel Rodriguez (Pleasanton, Calif.), Kolby Taylor (Chandler, Ariz.) and Moku Watson(Wahiawa, Hawai’i).

 

Women’s Soccer had 11 student-athletes earn Pac-12 Academic honors, that include First Team honorees Kate Evans (Guilford, U.K.) and Mylene Gorzynski (Corvallis) – first time OSU has had multiple First Team members since 2013. The rest of the Beaver contingent includes Kaillen Fried (Sherwood), Lindsay LaMont (Beaverton), Toni Malone (Springfield, Ore.), Shea O’Connor (Eugene), Allison Pantuso (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Diana Santiago (Hillsboro), Emery Wallerich (Gig Harbor, Wash.), McKenzie Weinert (Milwaukie) and Jessi Witherington (Grants Pass).

 

Men’s Soccer added four student-athletes to the Beaver crew to make Pac-12 Academic honors. Those four include Joel Walker (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Hassani Dotson(Federal Way, Wash.), Don Tchilao (Chandler, Ariz.) and Loke Strenov (Horsholm, Denmark).  

 

Volleyball had six members on the league’s academic team and they include Grace Massey (Beaverton), Haylie Bennett (Philomath), Makenna Browne (Conifer, Colo.),Lindsey Schell (Temecula, Calif.), Kayla Ellis (Pocatello, Idaho), and Maddy Gravley(Corvallis). It is the 13th straight season the Beavers have had at least five selections on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams.

 

In all, 51 student-athletes from the sports of football, volleyball, cross country, and men’s and women’s soccer earned Pac-12 Academic honors from the fall sports.
